Senior Analyst, Data and Analytics, Temporary full-time Join to apply for the Senior Analyst, Data and Analytics, Temporary full-time role at Canada Life Temporary Full Time – We are looking for a Senior Analyst Data & Analytics on a temporary full‑time basis for 12‑months. You will join Canada Life’s Canada Operations & Business Enablement, Data Analytics and Reporting team to support all Canada Operations teams with analytics solutions ranging from descriptive and diagnostic to predictive. The Senior Analyst, Data & Analytics is a data subject matter expert enhancing decision making, monitoring business performance, providing actionable insight, and driving operational efficiencies using advanced analytics and statistical techniques. In this role you will model, analyse, and predict complex business processes; translate business requirements into data, reporting, and analytics projects; and oversee and support them throughout their full lifecycle. This role requires the successful candidate to obtain Reliability Status security clearance. What you will do Translate business needs into data requirements, collect, integrate, clean, explore, model, and analyze large datasets, visualize results, and present to business leaders Build, implement, and maintain data models, custom reports, and dashboards Work with large datasets that are inconsistent, not fully modelled, or not clean Communicate, influence, think strategically and critically, and apply business and financial acumen Define, implement, and monitor metrics and KPIs, ensuring strategic alignment with short‑and long‑term objectives Enable effective, efficient working relationships with business partners Work closely with senior leaders to understand business drivers and enable data‑based decisions Oversee and support projects throughout the analytics lifecycle Assist in ideating new analytics initiatives ranging from descriptive, diagnostic, predictive to prescriptive Present insights and recommendations visually and in a simplified manner Retrieve and transform data from multiple systems using scripting languages What you will bring 3‑5 years of relevant experience and a master’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of bachelor’s degree and extensive experience Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL‑300) certification is preferred Strong experience with data analytics tools (SQL, Python), databases (SQL Server), cloud (Azure, Databricks), and data visualization tools (Power BI) with demonstrated interactive dashboards Ability to write complex, efficient SQL and Python queries to extract, integrate, transform data from multiple sources and automate pipelines Advanced skills in Power BI, data modeling, Power Query, and DAX Experience working with raw data and manipulating large datasets Subject‑matter expertise in data analytics and statistical modelling Polished communication and presentation skills for senior leadership audiences Strong analytical problem‑solving skills to monetize value for the organization Ability to work with little or no documentation or instruction Creative thinking and solution‑finding Proven ability to learn and handle multiple priorities in a challenging environment Experience within the financial services sector is an asset The base salary for this position is between $63,500.00 - $117,400.00 annually. This represents base salary only and does not include other variable compensation components.
