Overview Are you a strategic financial leader looking to make a real impact in healthcare? We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our client’s leadership team, overseeing the day-to-day operations of Finance and Payroll, driving fiscal accountability, and helping shape our organization’s strategic direction. Position Summary Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Services and CFO, the Finance Manager plays a vital leadership role in financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and payroll functions. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong understanding of financial systems, healthcare operations, and regulatory compliance. As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with senior leadership to provide insight-driven analysis and financial planning that supports both short- and long-term objectives. Responsibilities Lead the Finance and Payroll departments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements. Support strategic and operational decision-making through clear and concise financial analysis and reporting. Oversee budgeting processes (operating and capital) and support departments with financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis. Monitor and manage cash flow forecasting and provide recommendations to optimize financial positioning. Support the development of funding submissions and agreements, including Health System Funding Reform and Accountability Agreements. Prepare and review reports for government bodies and external agencies, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and financial reporting standards. Lead internal audits and oversee all aspects of year-end financial statement preparation and external audits. Implement and maintain effective internal controls, financial systems, and policies to ensure data integrity and fiscal stewardship. Collaborate with leaders across the organization to evaluate business plans, manage cost control initiatives, and drive efficiencies. Foster strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, providing responsive and strategic financial support. Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities for Finance and Payroll staff. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and risk management as part of the broader leadership team. Qualifications Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a financial leadership role, ideally within the healthcare or public sector.
