We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Laboratory department. Under the supervision of the Chief Technologist or designate, the Laboratory Assistant performs specimen collection, preparation and testing, and performs related clerical and other laboratory support functions. Performs inpatient and/or outpatient Electrocardiogram (ECG) testing, and/or Holter monitor testing as required, and explains test procedures. Performs routine equipment cleaning and maintenance. Fraser Lake Community Health Centre A diagnostic and treatment centre with no inpatient or overnight beds. The Health Centre is open Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The Health Centre serves the population of Fraser Lake, Fort Fraser, Endako and the Nadleh and Stellat’en First Nations communities. Four outpatient bays Emergency stabilization and transfer Diagnostic Imaging Laboratory Community Palliative Care Support Other Facility Services Primary Care Nursing Mental Health and Substance Use Dietitian Occupational Therapy BC Ambulance Outreach clinics to surrounding communities Hospital Staff Full and part-time physicians Nurse Practitioners Nursing Staff Visiting Specialists Patients requiring further care are referred to St. John Hospital in Vanderhoof or the University Hospital of Northern BC in Prince George. Fraser Lake Fraser Lake is known as the “White Swan Capital of the World” for the hundreds of migrating trumpeter swans that winter there each November. With a superb view of the surrounding lakes and rivers from the top of Mouse Mountain, the area’s most prominent landmark, you are sure to be enchanted with the Village of Fraser Lake. The main industries are mining and forestry. Fraser Lake has one elementary school and one combined elementary/secondary school. The population of Fraser Lake is 1,000 residents.
