As Food Service Director, you’ll ensure that every meal supports health, comfort, and dignity — while leading a team that takes pride in serving residents and families.This role blends hands-on leadership with strategic oversight, making it ideal for someone who thrives in healthcare hospitality and wants to make a meaningful impact every day.What You’ll DoLead and support food service, housekeeping, and laundry teams to deliver consistent, high-quality servicePartner with dietitians and healthcare staff to ensure meals meet specialized dietary needsBuild strong relationships with residents, families, and staff — listening, responding, and adapting with careManage budgets, control costs, and monitor financial performanceEnsure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and healthcare regulationsRecruit, train, and coach team members to grow their skills and confidenceRespond to resident feedback and satisfaction surveys with thoughtful menu updates and service improvementsMaintain accurate records and support audits and inspectionsWhat You Bring4+ years of experience in food service, with at least 1–3 years in a leadership rolePrevious experience in healthcare or long-term care settingsActive member CSNM (Canadian Society of Nutrition Management)Strong communication and relationship-building skillsKnowledge of food safety, sanitation, and healthcare compliance standardsAbility to manage budgets, analyze financial reports, and lead cost control initiativesA hands-on, empathetic leadership style that inspires trust and teamworkFlexibility to work event-based hours and support a dynamic care environmentAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periodsSalary Range (based on experience): $58,710 - $74,160 CAD/ yearAccommodation StatementAccommodations for job applicants with disabilities are available upon request. #J-18808-Ljbffr
