OverviewJoin to apply for the Veterinarian Public and Shelter Veterinary role at The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society.About the RoleWe’re opening a brand-new, modern veterinary clinic in Sudbury, Ontario — focused on spay/neuter and wellness services as our Veterinarian - Public and Shelter Veterinary Services.ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality care through high-volume spay and neuter surgery, wellness exams, and client education.Focus on wellness appointments and preventative care.Support a new, fully equipped clinic with an experienced team.Contribute to growing and shaping the clinic alongside the team.Support animal welfare through non-profit, purpose-driven clinic activities.QualificationsDoctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent.Passionate about animal welfare; able to work with autonomy within a supportive team.Licensing requirements for Ontario; willingness to pursue OVMA accreditation as needed.Excellent communication and client-education skills.Compensation and BenefitsBase pay range: CA$150,000.00/yr – CA$160,000.00/yrFull-time (40 hr/wk) with competitive health benefits including medical, dental, vision, LTD, ADD, and life insuranceLocation premium allowance of CA$15,000/year$10,000 retention bonus after 1 year of employmentContinuing Education (CE) allowance with supporting certificatesPaid licensing and membership duesLimited on-call, evenings, or weekends with a new, fully equipped clinicLive in Ontario and consider joining in Sudbury, with information about life in Sudbury available on request.About The Ontario SPCA and Humane SocietyThe Ontario SPCA and Humane Society embodies a culture that embraces diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging and provides accommodation during all stages of the recruitment process.
