OverviewAt KPMG, you’ll join a team of diverse and dedicated problem solvers, connected by a common cause turning insight into opportunity for clients and communities around the world.We are seeking a motivated and skilled Enterprise Architect to join KPMG Canada Business Enablement Services (BES) Technology team. You will play a critical role in the overall design and integration of an enterprise’s systems and processes. This role requires close collaboration with KPMG Global teams and coordination across multiple domains including solution architect, enterprise analytics, data management, network, security, and business stakeholders.What You Will DoPlay a crucial role in aligning technology strategy with business goals, involving understanding business requirements and crafting a technology roadmap that guides the organization’s technological investmentsDevelop and maintain the enterprise architecture framework, assist in selecting appropriate technologies, defining standards governing systems integrations, and ensuring all technology initiatives align with overall architecture principles and align to the KPMG Global Technology BlueprintEngage with various stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and external vendors, facilitating discussions regarding technological needs while also communicating the benefits and risks associated with different architectural choicesEstablish governance frameworks to ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards, as well as creating policies and models for evaluating new technologies, and ensuring their alignment with the organization’s strategic objectivesContinually assess and evaluate emerging technologies and their potential impact to the organization, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvementBuild and maintain comprehensive documentation of architecture designs, standards, and guidelines, ensuring stakeholders have access to necessary information and helps maintain consistency across the organizationProvide oversight to ensure enterprise initiatives adhere to the established architecture, standards, and roadmapsLead and guide the technology architecture team in defining and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient architecture solutions for various systems including identifying opportunities for process improvement while proactively identifying opportunities for efficiencyOversee and ensure architectural decisions align with enterprise standards, security protocols, and compliance frameworksProduce and maintain architectural artifacts, including blueprints, roadmaps, and governance modelsProactively identify and mitigate architectural risks, particularly around data pipelines, interface disruptions, and cloud transitionsWhat You Bring To The RoleBachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related fields5-7+ years of progressive experience in Enterprise Architecture roles with a track record of delivering complex, large-scale digital solutionsCertifications in architectural frameworks TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework), Zachman Framework, or FEAF (Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework) are requiredDeep knowledge in integrating enterprise systems including enterprise applications, ESB’s, middleware, micro services, containers, serverless, containers, epic is crucialStrong understanding of cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and cloud architecture (with an emphasis on Microsoft Azure and working knowledge of Amazon AWS and Google Cloud)Experience in interacting with GitHub and Azure DevOps (potentially other source management systems)Strong understanding of security principles and practices; proven ability to create strong partnerships with security teams ensuring all principles are in placeFamiliarity with agile methodologies and experience in project managementExcellent communications and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on stakeholder collaborationExperience implementation and integration SAP S/4HANAKnowledge and experience using OrbusInfinity or similar platforms is requiredThis position requires written and oral fluency in English.
