Senior Design and Aerostructures EngineerLocation: Lindsay, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid)Employment Type: Full-timeSalary Range: C$165,000 – C$210,000About the RoleA senior-level Design & Aerostructures Engineer is sought to lead mechanical and structural development for cutting-edge eVTOL aircraft.This role involves hands‑on development of mechanical systems, structures, and components, from concept to certified production, with significant opportunities to grow expertise across adjacent disciplines.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect, design, and implement platform-level mechanical systems from aircraft to component levelDesign structural and mechanical components for critical systems, including fuselage, propulsion mounts, landing gear, and system housingsSelect and specify materials (e.g., advanced composites, aluminum alloys, titanium, high‑performance polymers) based on strength, weight, thermal, and durability requirementsSupport product development from concept through detailed design, prototyping, testing, and release to productionOptimize structures for strength, stiffness, fatigue, and thermal performanceInterface with suppliers to validate material choices, manufacturing methods, and fabrication constraintsParticipate in failure investigations and root cause analyses to resolve mechanical or material issuesBe an integral part of the team, projecting positive behaviours and influence onto the teamApply aerospace standards and specifications appropriate to the disciplineChallenge the status quo, introducing new ideas to improve engineering quality, productivity, and delivery timelinesEnforce standards and ensure rigor, resilience, and continuous improvement in design solutionsAct as a project integrator and interface between project management and other engineering teamsStay current with industry developments and implement best practices in your workDrive continuous improvement of processes to increase safety and efficiencyRequirements5+ years of experience in aerospace structural systems, ideally with composite and stress disciplinesExperience with full lifecycle development, from concept to production and certificationFamiliarity with eVTOL certification regulations (TCCA, FAA, EASA)Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skillsHands‑on experience in mechanical and structural design, material selection, and component testingBenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceNo fixed holiday capGroup benefits planCompany share schemeFlexible working optionsOpportunity to work on groundbreaking aerospace projects in a collaborative, innovative environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
