Job Title Dunnage Associate (Evenings) About This Role Giant Tiger Wholesale is looking to hire a permanent Dunnage Associate for our brand‑new, fully automated 660,000 square foot distribution center in Johnstown, ON. Highlights Unload and sort all store returns from returning trailers, delivering sorted goods to the appropriate dept. Load cardboard and plastic bales, as per the set configuration, in the appropriate recycling trailer. Clean and bale any loose cardboard or plastic. Clean, log, and pile on junk pallets those store reclamations in the reclamations room. Travel the warehouse aisle by aisle removing all damaged cases from the active locations. Consolidate same SKU’s to create fullង្ឝ cases and return to the active location. Verify SKU numbers, using the AS400, to see if they are part of the reclamations program. Ensure that all boxes handled are on solid (unbroken) pallets, within the confines of the pallet, secured and stable, and wrapped with tape or shrink wrap.(sel>) Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Perform related work as required by Supervisor. Requirements Must be able to drive a counterbalance forklift and low‑lift equipment. Completion of High School. Class G2 or higher driver’s license. Basic PC skills and math skills. Must be capable of sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift heavy items for extended periods of time. Strong attention to detail.
