Overview One of Montreal’s oldest and most respected community centres is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. This is a full time position in office in the Snowdon area. Responsibilities Manage and supervise accounting department Work closely with and support all departments in financial matters and internal compliance Manage budgets and quarterly forecasts Document and ensure compliance of audit, financial, operational and safety controls and procedures Troubleshoot in all aspects of accounting systems Oversee preparation and distribution of donation and other tax receipts Verification of bank reconciliations Prepare year end files for auditors Other accounting related functions, as required Qualifications Degree in Finance/Business or related 3 – 5 years’ experience in similar role Experience with QuickBooks Desktop Excellent problem-solving abilities Strong communication skills in English and French Ability to adapt to change Strong computer skills and ability to learn new technology Ability to avert problematic situations before they escalate Strong attention to detail and great analytical skills Works independently, resourceful and takes initiative, team player Experience in ActiveNet is an asset Description de poste Note: This is the French version of the job description for reference only. RESPONSABILITÉS Gérer et superviser le département de la comptabilité; Travailler en étroite collaboration avec tous les départements et leur offrir du support en matière de questions financières et de conformité interne; Gérer les budgets et les prévisions trimestrielles; Documenter et veiller à la conformité des contrôles et procédures d'audit, d’ordre financier, d’ordre opérationnel et de sécurité; Trouver des solutions en lien avec tous les aspects des systèmes comptables; Superviser la préparation et la distribution des dons et autres relevés d’impôt; Vérifier la conciliation bancaire; Préparer les dossiers de fin d'année pour les auditeurs; Effectuer d’autres tâches liées à la comptabilité lorsque requis. QUALIFICATIONS REQUISES Diplôme en finances/affaires ou domaine connexe; 3 – 5 ans d’expérience dans un rôle similaire; Expérience avec QuickBooks; Solides aptitudes en résolution de problèmes; Solides compétences en communication, en français et en anglais; Habileté à s’adapter au changement; Compétences informatiques solides; Habileté à prévenir les situations problématiques et à éviter qu’elles ne s’aggravent; Grande attention aux détails et excellente capacité d’analyse; Capacité à travailler de façon autonome, débrouillardise, sens de l’initiative et esprit d’équipe; Expérience avec ActiveNet un atout. #J-18808-Ljbffr
