*Occupational Therapist (OT) for Psychotherapy Trauma Program**Why FunctionAbility?** *In-house psychotherapy supervision as per the Act of Psychotherapy and COTO** *Paid psychotherapy supervision from an experienced and qualified OT Supervisor** *Autonomy over schedule and flexibility** Education Funding* Self-directed funding for mental health, wellness and/or retirement savings funding* Billing Application to allow you to bill and dictate notes while in the community* Competitive compensation* Paid Staff Meetings* Extended Health and Dental Benefits + Employee & Family Assistance Program* Strong administrative/clinical/IT support* Work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment* Exciting company events (including our wonderful annual Retreat)* Career Advancement Opportunities*What do you need to be successful?** You are client-centered, target co-creation, and enjoy collaborating with a multidisciplinary team* You have strong verbal/written communication skills* You use good judgement and apply critical thinking when making clinical decisions* You have demonstrated commitment to professional development*Qualifications:** You have a University Degree in Occupational Therapy* You are a member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)* You have a valid Driver’s Licence and access to a vehicle* A minimum of 1 year of general OT mental health experience* Completion of at least one of the following courses: CBT, ACT, DBT*What is a day in the life of a FA OT Psychotherapist?** You will assess and treat individuals experiencing complex mental health challenges ranging from PTSD, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, panic, bipolar disorder, BPD, adjustment disorder, grief and loss, and emotional overwhelm.* Many of the clients you will support are First Responders and Public Safety Personnel* You will assist clients with establishing and meeting meaningful goals within their home and in a community setting, including addressing quality of life and return to work* You will create and implement individualized treatment plans based on occupational analysis and clinical reasoning* You will liaise with WSIB and community mental health partners and rehab professionals, including Psychologists and Psychotherapists, to facilitate client goals and independence*Who Are We?*FunctionAbility is one of Ontario's leading providers of multidisciplinary rehabilitation services.
