Learn more at hexagon.com and follow us @HexagonAB.Purpose of Position:The Portfolio Manager for Surface CAS (Collision Avoidance Systems) is responsible for driving the product strategy, development, and lifecycle management of advanced collision avoidance solutions for surface mining operations. This role will focus on delivering innovative, customer-centric safety solutions that align with EMESRT (Earth Moving Equipment Safety Round Table) Level 7-9 standards, ensuring enhanced safety and productivity in mining environments. Reporting to the Head of Product – Safety Solutions, this position will play a critical role in supporting Hexagon’s vision for safer, autonomous mining operations by delivering market-leading products that meet the evolving needs of customers in open-pit mining.This role is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and delivery of cutting-edge safety solutions, contributing to Hexagon’s mission of creating safer, more productive mining operations worldwide.Major Areas of Responsibility:Product Strategy and Vision: Contribute to the development and execution of the product strategy for surface CAS systems, ensuring alignment with the broader safety solutions portfolio and Hexagon’s business objectives.Product Development: Collaborate with engineering, design, and product specialists to define and deliver CAS solutions meeting EMESRT Level 7-9 requirements, focusing on usability, reliability, and integration with autonomous mining systems.Market Analysis: Conduct ongoing analysis of market trends, customer needs, competitor offerings, and regulatory requirements to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.Product Roadmap Contribution: Support the development and maintenance of an outcome-driven product roadmap, ensuring clear prioritization of features and enhancements that deliver customer value, viability, and feasibility.Product Introduction: Manage the end-to-end process of product introduction, ensuring a customer-centric approach tailored to the needs of sales and support teams across four regions (APAC, EMEA, LATAM, USA/Canada).Go-to-Market Execution: Develop and execute impactful go-to-market strategies for new and existing CAS products, working closely with product marketing and sales teams to drive adoption and market growth.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong relationships with engineering, sales, support, and other key functions to ensure seamless execution of product goals and alignment with customer expectations.Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with customers, industry partners, and internal teams to gather feedback, validate product requirements, and ensure alignment with safety and operational needs in surface mining.Performance Monitoring: Track product performance using key metrics and analytics, providing insights to optimize product offerings and drive continuous improvement.Compliance and Safety Standards: Ensure CAS products meet EMESRT Level 7-9 standards and other relevant industrial safety regulations, maintaining a strong focus on fostering a safety-first culture in mining operations.Knowledge and Experience - Required:3+ years of extensive experience in product management, preferably in mining or within industrial or safety-focused technology solutions.Strong understanding of EMESRT Level 7-9 standards and experience with collision avoidance systems or similar safety technologies in surface mining or heavy industries.Proven track record of successfully bringing technology products to market, driving adoption, and contributing to revenue growth.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into customer-centric solutions.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams and engaging stakeholders at all levels.Bachelor’s degree in engineering, product management, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.Knowledge of mining operations, safety culture, and autonomous systems is highly desirable.Experience in managing a team of product specialists.Experience in product operating model as a product management principles.Travel:Up to 30% travel required to engage with customers, partners, and regional teams.Decisions Expected: Own AuthorityManagement of project budgets and resources for assigned CAS products, coordinating with relevant teams to ensure efficient use of resources.Prioritization of product features and development timelines within the scope of the product roadmap.Referred to Higher AuthorityApproval for expenditures exceeding authorized budget limits.Decisions that may impact overall portfolio strategy or budget.Decisions that could adversely affect customer satisfaction or safety outcomes.Escalations requiring clarification of priorities or resolution of conflicts.Additional InformationOther locations being considered are USA, other areas in Canada, Australia. #J-18808-Ljbffr
