OverviewWe're looking for a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our Core Lab team in Kelowna, BC. You will be responsible for delivering in a timely manner the highest level of clinical and scientific quality to everyone we serve with a variety of testing using the latest technology. Your contributions will make a difference – the results and reports you deliver will be provided to physicians and greatly impact the downstream solutions and treatment critical to saving someone's life.ResponsibilitiesEnsuring sample identification is correct and specimen requirements are met according to established procedures.Performing routine testing duties within Chemistry and Hematology which includes but not limited to analyzer maintenance, calibration, QC and troubleshooting.Ensuring quality control standards are maintained, investigating missing samples and performing routine maintenance on laboratory equipment.Recording, interpreting and/or approving test results.Identifying and reporting of incidents and non-conformities.QualificationsYou thrive independently, applying sound decision making principles and ability to self-manage in fast-paced environment.You bring a high level of interpersonal skills and you are a natural fit within a collaborative working environment.Carry a CSMLS Registration as a practicing Medical Laboratory Technologist in good standing.Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook at an intermediate level.Solid ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide recommendations for resolution.Nice to have: working experience in the Chemistry or Hematology field, knowledge and understanding of Diagnostic Accreditation standards.BenefitsJoin an award-winning "Top Employer" with meaningful and impactful career opportunities.Access a health and wellness benefits program that supports you and your loved ones.Grow and thrive with a dynamic, successful company through internal mobility opportunities.Invest in your future through RRSP match benefits and an employee stock purchase program.Experience a collaborative, diverse workforce that prioritizes dignity and respect for all.Additional InformationVacancy Type: Replacement. Hours: 22.5 hour per week (Monday‑Friday rotational schedule). Discipline: Hematology. Workstyle: 100% onsite. Location: Kelowna, BC. Pay rate: $36.00‑$43.50 per hour.
