Position Details Job Type: Full‑Time / Non‑Exempt Shift Details: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday 7:00 AM–7:30 PM Work Location: Crisis – Wake Recovery Response Center, Raleigh, NC Salary: $25.00–$28.00 /hour Specialties / Licenses Or Certifications Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field from an accredited college or university Associate Licensure in good standing in an applicable behavioral health field State professional certification where applicable Summary of Job The Clinician II develops recovery service plans and delivers recovery‑oriented therapeutic counseling to engage individuals in their recovery journey. The Clinician II also orients individuals to the program by collaborating, assessing needs, identifying challenges, and facilitating goal development within the treatment and recovery process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Guest Care & Advocacy Serve as the mental health professional for individuals until they are enrolled in services at another community agency, when applicable Conduct thorough clinical assessments and treatment plans for services Assess needs and provide appropriate support and referral Provide short‑ and long‑term recovery‑oriented therapeutic counseling and education, individually or in groups Provide family education and family counseling Facilitate recovery education courses Compliance & Risk Management Determine provisional diagnosis, obtain documentation of medical necessity, and submit authorizations promptly Complete clinical documentation as required Complete incident reports according to policy Keep abreast of all federal and state regulations, laws, and Recovery Innovations policies and update as necessary Adhere to Recovery Innovations compliance standards per the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies Additional Duties – Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications Education & Licenses Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field Associate Licensure in good standing in an applicable behavioral health field State professional certification where applicable Experience – Minimum of one (1) year of behavioral health experience required Skills Basic computer skills Excellent documentation and written communication skills Strong verbal communication and active listening Attention to detail and problem‑solving ability Ability to pass de‑escalation training as defined by state requirements Driving & Travel If driving is required: meet all requirements in Recovery Innovations’ driving policy; otherwise a Non‑Driver Attestation form must be signed Travel required based on business need Miscellaneous Minimum age 18 years (or as required by state) Must pass a seven‑year background check, substance‑abuse testing, education verification, fingerprinting clearance, and motor‑vehicle report (where applicable) Successful completion of comprehensive credentialing process and HIPAA confidentiality obligations Second‑Chance Employer Policy – Must pass all background and testing requirements mentioned above State‑Specific Requirements Arizona Education: Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field Licensure: LAC, LMSW, LAMFT Certification: – Misc: Must be 21 years or older California Education: Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field Licensure: Associate Licensure in good standing in an applicable behavioral health field required Delaware Education: Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field Licensure: LACMH, LAMFT, LACDP, LMSW Louisiana Education: Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field Licensure: PLPC, LMSW, PLMFT, LAC Misc: Must be 24 years or older Maryland Education: Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field Licensure: LCSW, LMSW, LCPC, LCMFT, LCSW‑C North Carolina Education: Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field Licensure: LCMHCA, LMFTA, LCSWA, LCASA Ohio Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling Licensure: LPC, LMFTA, LSW Washington Education: Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field Licensure: LMHCA, LMFTA, LASWA Certification: Additional specified state licensure for Licensed Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) Physical Demands & Work Environment Work close to the eyes and substantial motions of the wrist, hands, and fingers; frequent sitting, standing, walking, handling, finger dexterity Eye‑hand‑foot coordination, use of corrected vision, color vision, and use of auditory senses May be required to lift up to twenty (20) pounds May work in an office environment or behavioral health facility and may encounter agitated or confused individuals Benefits & Perks Competitive health, dental, and vision insurance; access to mental health resources and wellness programs; a strong retirement plan with company matching; generous paid time off; ongoing professional development and training opportunities; inclusive and supportive workplace culture.
