The Bell Creek Complex, located approximately 20 kilometers northeast of Timmins, consists of an underground mine and processing facility. The schedule for this position is Monday‑Friday, 8 hrs/day or 4 on, 3 off, 10hrs/day.Please note that this role requires relocation to the Timmins area and is not a camp‑based position.The role of the Occupational Health Nurse will be to promote and support employee health, safety, and wellness through medical care, case management, and health initiatives that foster a safe and healthy workplace.Reporting to the Health and Safety Superintendent, the Occupational Health Nurse will have the following responsibilities:Provide First Aid/Primary Aid to employeesAssist with WSIB post‑occupational injury assessment and case managementAdvise/assist with modified work activities as neededAct as a resource for Human Resources for any non‑occupational RTW consultations as requiredSupport the management of employee health surveillance programs (i.e. lead, DPM, silica, etc.),Support Diversity and Inclusion programmingSupport the development of employee health and wellness programming including mental health and healthy lifestyles initiativesSupport the development and review of ergonomics and job task/physical demands analysisDevelop health promotion initiatives (training/information sessions, bulletin boards)Keep up to date with legal and professional changes associated with public health and occupational health and safety.Support the distribution of communications and education to all employees on trends/issues related to workplace health/safetyMaintain employee health records in a manner that ensures confidentiality and employee privacyPerform any other duties as may be requiredMore About YouWhile our ideal candidate has the following qualifications, we welcome applicants who may not meet every criterion to apply.The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:Undergraduate degree in Nursing, or equivalent combination of education and experiencing2‑5 years of Nursing experience in acute care, occupational health, community health or public healthAccess to a vehicle and valid driver’s licenseWSIB/Injury/Return to Work Case management experience is considered an assetExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPositive attitude and willingness to learn experientiallyApplicants must be eligible to work in CanadaOverall, you are a motivated team player who demonstrates compliance with all health and safety regulations.About the BenefitsIn return for your hard work and dedication you can expect to receive a competitive salary as well as the following benefits after 3 months:Company‑paid extended medical, dental, and vision benefitsBasic life/accidental life insuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramTelemedicine Virtual Primary Care via DialogueDon't miss out on this unique opportunity to take the next step toward your career goals with an industry leader - apply nowTo express your interest in this position please forward your resume to:Lake Shore Gold - Human ResourcesP.O.
