Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Location: Hôpital Ste-Anne Hospital, Ste. Anne, Manitoba. Department: Acute Medicine FTE: 0.80; In-person shift; 11.63 daily hours; Days; Nights; Weekends; start date approximate 06/29/2027. Position Overview The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) applies the nursing process to support clients/residents/patients in achieving and maintaining optimal health within a people‑centered care approach across various settings including Acute, Transitional, Personal Care Home (PCH), Primary Care, Public Health‑Healthy Living, and Home Care. The LPN works within full scope of practice, engages in ongoing education, and maintains competency in accordance with Southern Health‑Santé Sud policies, Professional Standards of Practice, College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba Code of Ethics, Competency Profile for Licensed Practical Nurses in Manitoba, and the Regulated Health Professions Act. Responsibilities Provide nursing care to clients/residents/patients in accordance with nursing process and facility protocols. Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration to support quality services, quality improvement, and staff empowerment. Demonstrate independent judgment, initiative and decision‑making on unusual matters. Engage in ongoing education and maintain current licensure and certifications. Use analytical approach to problem‑solving and contribute to program improvement. Meet physical and mental demands of the position; may work evenings and weekends; travel to other regional facilities as required. Education & Credentials Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing education program. Current active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Acute, Transitional, PCH, Primary Care, Public Health‑Healthy Living, Home Care). Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Current Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) certification. Trauma Nursing Care Course (TNCC) certification. Qualifications & Skills Proficiency in both English and French. Knowledge of Professional Standards of Practice, Competency Profile for Licensed Practical Nurses in Manitoba and Code of Ethics. Demonstrated ability to foster collaborative interdisciplinary environment, maintain positive relationships, resolve conflicts, communicate effectively orally and in writing. Strong organizational skills; flexibility; capacity for autonomous decision‑making. Ability to respect confidentiality across all mediums. Ongoing professional growth and competency relevant to practice area. Respect for and ability to promote a culturally diverse population. Good work attendance record. Physical Requirements Ability to meet physical and mental demands of the role. No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions. May work occasional evenings and weekends.
