Requirements Use the core Site Reliability Engineering principles of change management, monitoring, emergency response, capacity planning, and production readiness reviews to run the platform. Assist in cost engineering efforts to ensure efficient use of cloud resources. Responsibilites AWS & Terraform Expertise: Expert‑level proficiency in AWS architecture and services, coupled with mastery of Terraform for complex IaC module development and state management. Programming for Reliability: Solid development experience in Go (Golang) for building production‑ready platform tooling and services. Automation & Scripting: Strong proficiency in Python for automation, scripting, and API integration (e.g., Boto3). Application Support: Familiarity with the Java ecosystem for effective support and deep‑dive troubleshooting of application‑level issues (e.g., JVM profiling). Code Management: Source control best practices using Git. Cloud Security & Compliance: Deep commitment to security fundamentals (least‑privilege, blast radius minimization) and experience operating in highly regulated environments (e.g., PCI compliance). Networking & Connectivity: Deep understanding of VPC fundamentals, inter‑VPC connectivity (Peering, Transit Gateway), DNS management (Route53), and Load Balancing (ALB). Experience with VPNs and Direct Connect is valuable. Containerization & Policy: Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes manifests and operational knowledge of its components, including policy enforcement using Admission Controllers (e.g., OPA Gatekeeper).
