Work Location

The successful candidate will be required to work on-site 3-4 days/week at the customer headquarters in Montreal, QC.

Language Requirements

Bilingual in French and English essential.

Key Tasks

  • The BA will be responsible for gathering requirements from French speaking stakeholders and providing documentation in English for the vendor utilization
  • The BA will be responsible for requirements elicitation – the ability to ask the right questions and get a true view of what a business stakeholder who may not be IT savvy is asking for
  • Provide a background and experience in your role of Business Analyst interviewing stakeholders and preparing well documented business and process requirements
  • Process mapping duties and tasks will also be required
  • Support and engage with internal resources that will work very closely with the BA. These individuals will be industry/business knowledgeable within the Legal sector
  • Critically evaluate business requirements gathered from multiple sources and identify the underlying business needs
  • Assess and validate various technology solutions in order to document gap analysis with recommendations
  • Facilitate sessions, interviews, and analysis to identify areas for process and systems improvements
  • Prepare Business Requirements Documents (BRDs}, including functional and non-functional requirements
  • Ensure knowledge transfer to users by providing complete and updated documentation and by identifying appropriate training needs
  • Engage Subject Matter Expert (SME) to create awareness and adoption of technical processes within business groups
  • Provides cost effective and timely on-boarding for clients/users/vendors

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of recent experience in a Bilingual IT Business Analyst role. (candidates must be comfortable speaking and writing in both French and English)
  • Strong foundational knowledge of Corporate IT Systems (COTS/ERP/Custom Built applications)
  • Recent and demonstrated experience in a Business Analyst capacity supporting the migration and integration of new users and vendors (preference for experience with corporate mergers and acquisitions)

Qualifications

  • CBAP designation
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification
  • Experience with business process workflow tools such as Visio

Assets

  • Experience with the implementation of a Legal/Intellectual Property case management system
