Location: Northwestern Ontario

Schedule: 7x7 - 12 hours per day

About the Opportunity

Our client, a leading Canadian mining company, is seeking a skilled Millwright to join their team and play a key role in maintaining and repairing equipment at a gold production facility.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on various equipment within a gold processing facility.
  • Uphold safety standards and ensure compliance with regulations during all tasks.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and address equipment breakdowns.
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment deficiencies to optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to improve maintenance procedures.

Qualifications

  • You'll need a recognized millwright certification or similar experience. Bonus points if you have additional trade certifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience fixing and maintaining equipment in a running factory is a must. Prior experience building and starting up new factories is a plus
  • You should be a great communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • You can work independently and consistently deliver excellent results, even without constant guidance.
  • You're proactive and take initiative to fix problems before they become bigger.
  • Leading a team in the past is a plus, but not required.
  • Can analyze and solve moderately complex issues.
  • Comfortable reading technical documents and understanding how the equipment works.
  • Passionate about doing your job well and always finding ways to improve.
  • Safety and environmental responsibility are top priorities for you.

  • Beneficiaries of the Impact Benefits Agreement (IBA).
  • Applicants residing in the Northwest Ontario.
