Full‑Time Faculty Associate, Professional Year, Elementary StreamThe School of Education at Trinity Western University is an engaged community of teachers and scholars. It offers undergraduate and graduate programs. The teacher education program is accredited by the BC Teachers’ Council and leads towards teacher certification in BC. The final year of the teacher education program is the Professional Year. Teacher candidates are immersed in teaching practica in local schools and in pedagogical and praxis courses on campus. The Professional Year was launched in 2002 and has more than 500 graduates. The School of Education’s mission is to prepare caring and competent educators and scholars who, in turn, engage responsibly and respectfully with students, society, and the created world.Trinity Western University’s School of Education invites applications for a full‑time Faculty Associate in the elementary stream of the Professional Year beginning August 1, 2026. The ideal candidate holds current teaching certification in BC, has ten years of field experience teaching at the K‑12 level, and has completed a master’s degree. Preferable teaching experience is in elementary schools in BC. In addition, the ideal candidate should also have experience and expertise in the areas of Literacy and Mathematics at the elementary level. The successful candidate will be expected to supervise practicum experiences of teacher candidates and teach pedagogical courses based on their areas of expertise.
