Review data, collect information, and complete the safe surgery checklist. Perform surgical asepsis of hands and don sterile attire after patient positioning. Arrange instruments on the sterile table in logical order and maintain throughout surgery. Conduct initial surgical inventory of instruments and materials. Prepare, dispense, and receive instruments, equipment, and supplies as requested by the surgeon. Assist technically during procedures as directed by the surgeon. Prepare medications and solutions (except IV) per surgeon instructions. Apply first dressing layer using aseptic technique. Remove instruments and other items from the surgical field and assist in disposal of soiled linens. Install, verify, and adjust operative devices and equipment. Plan, position, and verify equipment integrity before operation. Position patient, monitor pressure points, and apply dispersing plate if needed. Open and hand sterile equipment to the internal ward nurse. Conduct peri‑ and post‑operative inventory of instruments and materials. Observe procedure, anticipate team needs, and maintain sterility controls. Support pre‑operative assessment and follow‑ups for safe surgery. Complete hospital records, request examinations, and schedule consultations. Perform all other related tasks to ensure safe procedures per CMS standards. Desired Qualifications More than 2 years of operating room experience in orthopedics (THR/TKR). Completed DEP in Nursing. Valid OIIAQ license. Excellent French, intermediate English. A commitment to a stimulating, collaborative environment. Strong human, interpersonal, and professional skills. Schedule Daytime, Monday to Friday.
