OverviewSupervisor, Plant Maintenance - Recycling role at WM. Location: Material Recovery Facility (MRF) near Cambridge, ON (2194 Dumfries Rd, Cambridge, ON).ResponsibilitiesPlans, directs and controls the Maintenance Department to maintain plant equipment and facilities in accordance with good engineering practices.Manages the preventive maintenance program and maintenance of equipment and facilities.Develops, maintains and administers an organization qualified to maintain all equipment and facilities in a safe and efficient condition. Executes an effective preventive maintenance program to minimize unscheduled downtime.Maintains all operating equipment in satisfactory condition. Schedules needed repairs to minimize interference.Consults with other departments regarding modifications or replacements of equipment to improve operations and reduce maintenance costs.Coordinates the efficient operation of facilities with project engineers as needed.Oversees the maintenance of all plant transportation equipment.Analyzes cost studies related to equipment to secure reduced operating costs and communicates recommendations to the Plant Manager.Develops objectives and performance standards for projects within the Maintenance Department to meet departmental, divisional and corporate goals.Plans and provides for an adequate supply and control of spare parts and maintenance supplies.Provides leadership and maintenance training to MRF Maintenance Technicians.Ensures preventive inspections and corrective repairs meet or exceed company standards.Ability to work Day or Afternoon Shifts.QualificationsA. Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or G.E.D. (accredited)4 years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement)B.
