Nishnawbe-Aski Legal Services Corporation Employment Opportunity Nishnawbe-Aski Legal Services Corporation is presently recruiting for a FAMILY VIOLENCE PREVENTION WORKER (External Posting, Term Contract – Ending March 31, 2026) Thunder Bay, ON The Family Violence Prevention Worker (FVPW) will be responsible for delivering and reporting on the implementation and progress of the initiative in the target communities funded under the project. Qualifications: post-secondary diploma in law, advocacy, paralegal, social work, mental health, or related area of study. Experience and knowledge in dealing with victims and offenders of Sexual Abuse and Domestic Violence, Family Violence, Indigenous issues, and the current legal system. Experience working with NAN and in First Nation Communities Excellent case and file management skills, administrative and coordination skills, stress management, time management skills, and ability to meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Adaptability and Self-motivation Proficient working knowledge of MS Office Software, internet, program database and general office equipment Some travel may be required Ability to speak Cree, Oji-Cree, or Ojibway an asset.
