This is truly supported by our credo. “Let us welcome you home.” At Optima Living, we feel genuinely honoured to work with our residents and we advocate a person-centered approach where the resident is the focus of all our endeavours.ResponsibilitiesCreating an incredible dining experience for our residents and guests.Creating a warm and positive dining experience through customer-service excellence in every interaction.Scheduling and motivating dining room staff.Assisting the Food Services Manager with food and supplies ordering process.Serving meals with flourish, according to proper food-handling procedures.Prepare in-service training and complete inventories as assigned by the Food Services Manager.Maintaining and managing standards of service in the dining room.Assisting the Food Services Manager in hiring Servers.Qualifications and ExperienceYou have restaurant or hotel serving experience, along with your Food Safe Level 1, Serving It Right and WHMIS certifications.You have 3-years of experience as a server team leader or similar position in the hospitality or seniors living industry, major hotel chain, or the cruise ship industry.You demonstrated ability to mentor staff, supervise, coordinate and plan the day-to-day operation of the dining room.You’re upbeat and positive; bringing the good energy day to day.You can hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment, solving problems like a true pro.You’re a details person, an excellent communicator and a customer service superstar.You understand and respect the needs of seniors, their families and the professionals engaged in their care.Conditions of EmploymentFood Safe CertificationClear Police Information CheckClear Vulnerable Sector Check #J-18808-Ljbffr
