Software Development Engineer in Test Company: Harmonic Website: www.harmonicinc.com Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada Role Overview Harmonic is the worldwide leader in video delivery solutions that enable media companies and service providers to deliver ultra‑high‑quality streaming and broadcast services globally through innovative SaaS platforms and software‑based appliances. Harmonic is changing the way media companies monetize live and on‑demand content on every screen. What You Will Be Doing Plan and develop automated tests in an agile development approach. Provide technical expertise on automated test design, optimization and strategy to improve product testability, maintainability and best practices of test development. Watch over test execution on a continuous integration pipeline to deliver new features and patches without sacrificing stability, quality, and velocity. Test SaaS. What You Should Have B.Sc or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related disciplines from a top‑tier university. Experience in one of the following programming languages: JavaScript, Python, Java, C++. Experience in testing SaaS. Knowledge and/or Experience In the Following CI/CD automation. Containerization/orchestration experience (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.). Strong experience managing cloud services (AWS, GCP, etc.). Mobile video systems (encoding and distribution of video in OTT systems). Also, You Should Be The Following Fast learner – can quickly pick up new skills as required. Strong sense of commitment and responsibility. Strong passion for providing top‑quality product to customers, ability to implement new ideas, ability to think "outside of the box". Good analytical skills and communication skills. Basic Linux knowledge – must. Networking knowledge – advantage. Pay & Benefits The estimated base salary range is between CAD 80,000 – CAD 95,000. Actual base salary will vary based on market, location, and qualifications assessed during interview process.
