Regional Director Technical Services Six Senses, Americas Join to apply for the Regional Director Technical Services Six Senses, Americas role at IHG Hotels & Resorts. Role Purpose Undertakes technical services activities in Greater China to include due diligence inspections and reporting; design and documentation review to ensure high quality, structurally safe designs and standards consistent with the strategy of each of SCH brands in the region; and pre‑opening inspections to ensure compliance to all SCH standards. Key Accountabilities Responsible for the completion of assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines. Leads a group of engineers, analysts, and/or technicians assigned for the duration of a project or may function as ongoing lead within a group of engineers associated with one or more technical areas within the function (such as, but not limited to, network design, engineering, implementation, or operations/user support). Manages the process of reviewing potential SCH Hotel projects in terms of SCH design standards, including concept design, documentation and inspections, as well as the pre‑opening inspections. Manages the process for Property Improvement Plans (PIP) to include on‑site evaluations and execution of PIP plans. Ensures that quality of work and structurally safe designs and standards are followed and maintained at all properties to protect integrity/image of brands. Provides technical assistance to owners in the development of project plans and consults on interior design and other related activities ensuring cost efficiency. Organizational Impact Works closely with the region’s development team in the review of properties that are considered for acquisition, management or franchise into a SCH brand. Supports the development team in Greater China with state‑of‑the‑art and cost‑efficient designs, space planning, interior design, engineering, and construction and project management techniques, in conjunction with the Vice President Technical Services. Innovation and Problem Solving Works closely with the Vice President Technical Services to understand SCH investment goals and brand strategies and standards for each Hotel project; presented regular concept plans, space planning, facility lists, area programmes to the Vice President Technical Services. Works closely with Engineering function within the region to collaborate on issues impacting new, conversion or renovation project plans and related costs to ensure objectives are achieved and consistency in standards. Key Skills & Experiences Qualifications and Experience Direct combined experience in design, construction, project management of hospitality structure. Strong knowledge of architectural and design, and construction principles and understanding of applicable laws. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and/or Construction Management. Experience: A minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience for Director level – M2(a); minimum of 6 years experience for Associate Director level – M2(b). The salary range for this role is $150,000 to $200,000. This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
