We work on large-scale distributed systems, processing almost 3 trillion events per day, and our customers span all industries.We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join our Falcon Exposure Management team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in designing and building the foundational risk platform that powers our industry-leading cybersecurity solutions. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies, including Golang, microservices architecture, and diverse database ecosystems, to deliver comprehensive visibility into risks, management features, and prioritization workflows.Our team is responsible for building and maintaining the Risk platform product within the Exposure management pillar, which offers a single pane of glass experience by aggregating all risks within an organization in a single place. You'll work on a globally distributed, fault-tolerant, and highly scalable cloud ecosystem that supports integration of risk from Crowdstrike's internal providers as well as from 3rd party integrations.As a technical leader, you'll drive end-to-end product delivery, architect scalable solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define priorities and scope. Your expertise will directly influence the cybersecurity landscape, protecting organizations from sophisticated threats while advancing the state of the art in exposure management.What You'll Do:Backend Architecture and Development: Design and develop scalable backend services powering both internal and customer-facing web applications, with a focus on performance, reliability, and security.Cloud Infrastructure and Operations: Collaborate with the DevOps team to design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS, Azure, or GCP, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.Database Management and Data Engineering: Design and implement database solutions using RDBMS/SQL, NoSQL databases, and distributed caching solutions like Redis, ensuring data consistency, integrity, and performance.System Troubleshooting and Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot complex distributed architectures, identifying and resolving performance and reliability issues.Collaboration and Technical Leadership: Partner with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI, Sensors, and other teams, to deliver integrated solutions with comprehensive documentation.What You'll Use:GolangCassandraKafkaElasticsearchSQLRedisZMQAWS CloudGitWhat You'll Need:10+ years of production experience building, delivering, and maintaining large-scale distributed systems processing high-volume dataAdvanced programming expertise in object-oriented languages with strong typing (Golang, Python, or similar)Proven microservices experience with designing scalable REST APIs and distributed communication patternsPast experience(s) with building data platforms at scale that includes distributed ETLs or data ingestion pipelinesStrong cloud infrastructure knowledge with major providers (AWS preferred, plus Azure and GCP)Bonus Points:Machine learning, AI implementation or Agentic AI usage experiencePractical experience with golang, Cassandra, Kafka, Elasticsearch, SQL, RedisPrior experience in the cybersecurity or intelligence fields.Graph database knowledge and experience with graph structures (nodes, edges, relationships)Benefits Of Working At CrowdStrike:Remote-friendly and flexible work cultureMarket leader in compensation and equity awardsComprehensive physical and mental wellness programsCompetitive vacation and holidays for rechargePaid parental and adoption leavesCrowdStrike is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
