Support patient safety at Red Deer Regional Hospital through healthcare cleaning, disinfection, and dependable environmental services work. Regular part-time shifts include days, evenings, and weekends.
Alberta Health Services seeks an Environmental Services II cleaner or housekeeper trained for healthcare environments. You will clean clinical and non-clinical areas while following AHS standards and practices. The position includes patient rooms, offices, common areas, linen, hazardous waste, and floor maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and disinfect patient rooms and clinical areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and wash surfaces thoroughly
- Restock bathroom supplies, linens, and cleaning materials
- Operate industrial equipment for floor maintenance
- Identify and report potential hazards to Working Leaders
Requirements:
- Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent
- Knowledge and operation of computers and smartphones
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive movements
- Ability to lift 25 pounds and push or pull 50 pounds
- Previous cleaning experience preferred; healthcare experience an asset
