Opportunity to contribute positively to BC healthcare. Responsibilities Act as counsel in arbitral hearing forums for high‑value cases. Provide legal advice on policy and legal issues. Support collective bargaining teams and participate in collective bargaining. Identify strategic litigation and member education opportunities. Establish, maintain, and foster relationships with member organizations, unions and agencies. Represent members and HEABC in labour‑relations dispute resolution forums. Conduct legal research, including case law, legislation and policy analysis. Lead or participate in team projects; mentor Labour Relations Consultants. Prepare seminars, bulletins and legal updates for members. Qualifications A degree in Law, current member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia. Minimum seven (7) years of recent, related experience, preferably in labour and employment law, labour relations or HR within a complex labour‑relations environment. Expertise in legal research and interpretation of health‑sector labour relations legislation and collective agreements. Strong written and oral communication skills with attention to detail. Strategic, analytical and problem‑solving skills; team player with interpersonal skills. Ability to organize, plan and execute work within demanding schedules.
