Our client, a growing and innovative organization with global operations in Kanata, ON, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a 3-month contract with strong potential for extension. This role is well suited for a technically strong accounting professional who enjoys hands-on work, ownership, and close collaboration with senior leadership in a dynamic, multi-entity environment. Benefits & Perks Contract length: 3 months with opportunity to extend Work model: Fully on-site 5 days a week at the client’s Kanata (Ottawa) office. Compensation: $35 to $45/hour Responsibilities Lead key aspects of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close for assigned entities Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reports Prepare consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules under IFRS Ensure accurate accounting for complex areas such as foreign exchange and long-term balances Support external financial reporting, including notes and management discussion materials Work with external auditors and support audit requirements Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting Provide guidance to junior accounting staff as needed Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and automation Qualifications 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in a complex environment CPA designation completed or in progress Strong working knowledge of IFRS, including consolidations and multiple currencies Experience with complex accounting matters, reconciliations, and disclosures Experience mentoring or supporting junior accounting staff Experience with NetSuite (strong asset) #J-18808-Ljbffr
