You’ll provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, intervention, management, referral, and evaluation of patient care across the continuum of health care services. Beyond patient care, you’ll actively participate in program development and evaluation, research, and clinical teaching activities. Work alongside skilled professionals in an interdisciplinary setting to determine, and regularly review, local guidelines for drug prescription, distribution, monitoring, and record keeping ensuring consistency with provincial prescribing and distributing guidelines. Description As a Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will provide a full range of comprehensive health services to individuals across their lifespan. You will be responsible for integrating clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients. Additionally, you will utilize advanced practice nursing competencies related to Clinical Practice, Leadership and Optimizing Health Systems, Education, and Research to increase care quality, promote appropriate use of health services, and inform and influence healthcare systems. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar, including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications Must be able to support flexible work schedule as we continue to grow and develop our NP program. Computer literacy skills mandatory (i.e., Connect Care, Netcare, etc.). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to enable working directly with patients and their family members. Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team environment. Ability to function independently. Excel at working in a dynamic fast‑paced environment.
