We are seeking a Senior Mainframe Developer with 7 10 years of hands-on experience in developing and supporting enterprise mainframe applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in COBOL, DB2, and VSAM, with experience in batch and online/transaction processing environments. You will collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver stable, high-performing solutions and support modernization initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, and VSAMConvert business requirements into scalable and efficient technical solutionsPerform DB2 performance tuning, query optimization, and access path analysisWork on both batch processing and online transaction processingPartner with Business Analysts, QA, and development teams to ensure on-time deliveryProvide production support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysisMaintain technical documentation including program logic, changes, and workflowsParticipate in code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure best practicesSupport mainframe modernization, migration, and integration initiativesRequired Skills & Qualifications7 10 years of mainframe development experienceStrong expertise in COBOL,2, and VSAMGood understanding of JCL, CICS, and IMS (IMS preferred, not mandatory)Experience in batch and transaction processing systemsStrong skills in SQL, DB2 database design, and performance tuningExperience with mainframe utilities: IDCAMS, SORT, File-Aid, ExpeditorUnderstanding of SDLC and Agile methodologiesStrong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication and collaboration skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
