OverviewCasual Infusion Nurse - Kamloops, PerCuro Infusion NetworkLocation: Kamloops, BC • Work Arrangement: On-Site • Employment Type: CasualA Day in the LifeWork as an extension of the healthcare team to respective physician practices.Perform clinic and patient registration activities according to protocols and applicable procedures.Provide medical support to patients and HCPs, including education on specific diseases, therapies, and disease management.Support/monitor administration of IV infusion or injectable treatments in the clinic.Administer medications (IM and SC) in the clinic settings as required.Monitor patients post-infusion/post-injection and document all activities.Prepare for and attend specialized training sessions for specific therapies as required.Review patient files prior to treatment to capture medical history.Document and maintain patient records to ensure treatment history is adequately captured.Maintain confidentiality of patient and corporate information and discuss with appropriate personnel only.Liaise with physicians’ offices, pharmacies, service providers, and other parties to provide comprehensive and coordinated service to patients and HCPs.Participate in ongoing internal and external continuing education activities.Administer and adhere to patient care protocols, including clinical monitoring, data collection, ongoing follow-up, compliance, therapy disruption/discontinuation monitoring, adverse event reporting and liaison with primary healthcare providers.Follow and abide by all provincial College of Nurses guidelines while providing patient care.Additional duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimum 2-4 years of infusion experience or equivalent.Licensed Registered Nurse (RN).CPR and First Aid certification required; ACLS certificate required.Experience in IBD, rheumatology, neurology, or oncology is an asset.Ability to deliver patient education including self-injection education; confidently administer IM and/or SC medications.Experience in critical care, emergency, and acute care is a strong asset.Ability to work autonomously with little supervision as part of a larger remote team.Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry is an asset.Adhere to Sentrex policies and procedures.Why join Sentrex100% Canadian company with locations across the country; state-of-the-art facilities.Collaborative, engaging workplace culture with a focus on people.Flexible working environment promoting work-life balance; diverse and inclusive culture.Growth opportunities supported by Employee Development Program and in-house training.Competitive salary and benefits package; RRSP matching; paid time off and wellness programs.Additional informationSentrex Health Solutions is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity, inclusion, belonging, equity, and accessibility.
