Structural Engineer

Our client specialises in the design, manufacture, and supply of precast concrete products. The position offered involves the design and detailing of precast elements within the building structure. You will be involved in dealing with Architects, Engineers, and Site personnel as part of the design process.
Responsibilities include:
- Review and monitor Clients design proposals and lead the design process from conceptual to final design approval stage.
- Review and manage construction/design/engineering related queries on new and existing projects.
- Provide engineering advice and technical know-how internally and externally as required.
- Manage the drawing office to ensure sufficient workflow for project requirements and manufacturing process.
- Assist the estimating department with tender proposals by offering valued engineering concepts.
- Attend meetings as required in Ireland and the UK.
Qualifications and skills:
- Structural Engineering Degree Qualification, minimum of 5 years’ experience.
- Knowledge of Autocad/Tekla/BIM will be necessary.
- Understanding of layouts and drawings.
- Experience in Structural Engineering Design of concrete structures, preferably precast.
- Knowledge of relevant design codes and regulations.
Additional qualities:
- Capable of delivering projects on budget and within the allocated time frame.
- High level of organizational ability, excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Energetic and ambitious for personal growth and development.
- Excellent interaction with design teams and internally.
Package: 40k - 50k per annum depending on experience. Excellent benefits package.
