Position Prep & Planning Teacher Location St. Rose of Lima Catholic Elementary School LTO Assignment End date of this assignment is subject to change as applicable. Schedule / Salary As per Collective Agreement Qualifications Must have a Bachelor of Education Degree and be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers. Applicant shall hold the required qualifications, as recorded on the Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification at the time of this posting, in the subject(s) and division(s) identified in this posting. Skills & Experience Previous elementary teaching experience preferred. Teaching experience in a Catholic school system is preferred. Working knowledge of the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations, Ethical Standards for the Teaching Profession, and the Standards of Practice for the Teaching Profession. A practicing Catholic with an active Catholic Faith life. Proficient knowledge & understanding of Ontario curriculum, evaluation & assessment techniques. Current understanding of research, integrating technology and best instructional practices. Effective classroom management skills and ability to create a welcoming and safe Catholic learning environment for all students. Portfolio Requirements All applications must include the following portfolio items: Resume/Curriculum Vitae. Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Registration in Good Standing and Certificate of Qualification. Roman Catholic Baptismal Certificate or equivalent, or proof of initiation into the Roman Catholic Church. Commitment to Catholic Education (form link). Copies of most recent Performance Appraisal and/or Practice Teaching Reports. Pre-service Roman Catholic Religious Education Course is preferred. Contact information for three supervisory references.
