As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to partner with the most highly regarded companies in the world, tackle complex issues, and contribute to projects that shape the future of digital transformation. AI-First. Future-Driven. Human-Centered. At OpenText, AI is at the heart of everything we do—powering innovation, transforming work, and empowering digital knowledge workers. We're hiring talent that AI can't replace to help us shape the future of information management. Join us. YOUR IMPACT We are looking for an AI Governance Senior Manager who combines deep, real‑world AI solution delivery experience with a passion for building enterprise‑grade AI governance foundations. This is a hands‑on, strategic role focused on shaping the next generation of OpenText’s AI governance capabilities and evolving alongside the emerging era of advanced, agentic, and autonomous AI systems. You will design and operationalize enterprise‑wide governance processes, standards, and assessment models that support safe, scalable, and forward‑ready AI innovation. This includes co‑creating the governance framework, defining repeatable workflows, developing assessment tooling, advising solution teams on technical AI risk considerations, and ensuring responsible AI practices are embedded into how both current and next‑generation AI solutions are built. You will partner closely with AI development teams, risk, security, privacy, compliance, legal, and business units to ensure AI solutions are not only safe and responsible, but also practical, deployable, while remaining adaptable to real‑world technical realities and the rapid evolution of AI capabilities. What The Role Offers Champion responsible and ethical AI by partnering with business and technical teams to understand AI ambitions and delivery constraints, ensuring risks are managed across the full AI lifecycle from experimentation through production without slowing innovation. Ensure AI solutions are governed and future‑ready by designing, evolving, and operationalizing governance frameworks, assessment models, and controls that scale alongside increasingly advanced and autonomous AI systems. Turn research and regulation into action by tracking emerging AI risks, safety practices, and regulatory developments, translating them into practical guidance that evolves governance processes, tools, and evaluation techniques. Ignite innovation and drive adoption by acting as a trusted internal advisor, helping teams deliver impactful, well‑governed AI solutions while establishing enterprise‑wide standards, metrics, and operating rhythms. What You Need To Succeed Experienced in AI governance with over 9 years of hands‑on experience, including governing advanced, agentic, or autonomous AI systems in real delivery contexts. Technically credible in AI delivery, with strong understanding of machine learning, predictive modeling, NLP, computer vision, and generative AI, and how these systems behave in production environments. Experienced in embedding AI safeguards into system design, in close partnership with development, risk, and compliance teams. Governance‑by‑design oriented, with familiarity in global and industry AI regulations, standards, and responsible AI frameworks, and the ability to apply them pragmatically rather than theoretically. Forward‑looking and adaptable, staying current with emerging AI capabilities such as multimodal models, generative architectures, and agentic AI patterns, and comfortable operating in fast‑evolving environments. A clear communicator and collaborator, able to translate complex AI concepts into actionable guidance for engineers, business leaders, and executives, and effective in cross‑functional partnership. Values‑driven, operating with integrity, accountability, and alignment to OpenText’s values of trust, teamwork, and responsibility in every interaction. Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, data science, mathematics, business, or a related field. ONE LAST THING OpenText is more than just a corporation, it’s a global community where trust is foundational, the bar is raised, and outcomes are owned. This role will allow you to make an impact by assisting in the evolution of the MDS offerings to address the changing needs of the company. OpenText's efforts to build an inclusive work environment go beyond simply complying with applicable laws. Our Employment Equity and Diversity Policy provides directions on maintaining a working environment that is inclusive of everyone, regardless of culture, national origin, race, color, gender, gender identification, sexual orientation, family status, age, veteran status, disability, religion, or other basis protected by applicable laws. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please contact us at hr@opentext.com. Our proactive approach fosters collaboration, innovation, and personal growth, enriching OpenText's vibrant workplace. Toronto, Ontario, Canada CA$103,000.00-CA$136,000.00 2 weeks ago #J-18808-Ljbffr
