Dillon has been listed as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies for the past 17 years and has the distinction of having achieved Platinum Club member status in this program.ResponsibilitiesWhat your day will look likeProject ManagementProject manage a variety of multidisciplinary engineering design projects and project teams to meet client, regulatory, and professional requirementsLead and contribute to functional design, detailed design and construction administration activities of multidisciplinary project teamsInteract regularly with clients, agencies, utilities and other project stakeholdersUndertake project planning, scope, schedule, financial, quality, communications, health and safety, and risk management in accordance with Dillon’s business procedures to meet business objectivesBusiness DevelopmentIdentify and develop new business opportunities including submissions responding to requests for proposals, preparation of proposals and statements of qualificationDevelop and maintain existing and new client relationshipsBusiness travel to other Dillon offices upon requestLearning & DevelopmentCommit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional developmentInput to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoringContribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committeesQualificationsWhat you will need to succeedA degree in civil engineeringLicensed to practice as a professional engineer, or eligible to be licensed within six monthsA minimum of ten years' professional experience, preferably in the consulting industryProven project management and business development capabilitiesExperienceDemonstrated success in the management of multidisciplinary projects, project teams and business development activitiesStrong understanding of the design of various land development and municipal infrastructure including water supply systems, sewage systems, roadways, storm water management works, underground and surface site servicing works, and/or waste management facilitiesKnowledge of contract administration services and requirements, including master municipal construction documentsKnowledge of municipal servicing standards and environmental approval requirementsDemonstrated skills in public and agency consultationStrong proficiency in proposal and report writing, presentations, communications, organization and interpersonal skillsExceptional communication (verbal and written) skills are essentialWhy choose DillonDillon is powered by people who are technically proficient, passionate about socially important projects, and motivated to deliver superior, tangible results.
