Working closely with Roman, VP of Content Integrations, and other team members, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing backend APIs and content integrations that power our platforms — connecting data from suppliers and content sources to deliver a seamless customer experience.Many career paths can prepare you for this life-changing opportunity, but preferably, you’re highly skilled in:Design, develop, and maintain scalable server-side applications, APIs, and microservices.Build efficient, reusable, and secure code following best practices and coding standards.Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and caching strategies to ensure system performance and reliability.Integrate data from third-party partners, suppliers, and content providers.Collaborate cross-functionally with front-end, DevOps, and product teams to deliver high-quality, end-to-end solutions.Ensure system security through robust authentication, authorization, and data protection practices.Implement automated testing, debugging, and performance monitoring to maintain high uptime and code quality.Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to improving scalability, fault tolerance, and system design.Support CI/CD processes and ensure smooth deployment and operation of backend services.Document APIs, workflows, and architecture to ensure maintainability and transparency across teams.Qualifications4+ years of professional experience in backend development using PHP (Laravel framework).Strong experience with MySQL — including database design, optimization, and query tuning.Solid understanding ofAPI design principles, RESTful architecture, and microservice-based systems.Experience integrating with third-party APIs, SDKs, and content platforms.Knowledge of version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.Proven ability to write clean, efficient, and scalable code.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently on complex projects.Excellent communication and teamwork skills, ensuring seamless collaboration across teams.Why Join UsOpportunity to work on high-impact integrations that directly power customer-facing platforms.Collaborative environment that values innovation, autonomy, and technical excellence.Work alongside a passionate team and leadership focused on building next-generation travel technology.* Please note this position is in Montreal, Quebec and on-site. #J-18808-Ljbffr
