Operate shunt trucks and fifth-wheel hydraulic tractors as a full-time Shunter at Ekkinox’s Pointe-Claire, Quebec terminal. Move trailers safely while supporting efficient yard operations.
Ekkinox, an affiliate of DRAKKAR, serves aerospace, defence, and ground transportation clients. This full-time Shunter assignment focuses on trailer movements, equipment inspections, inventory control, and safe equipment use. The schedule runs from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Move 50 to 60 trailers per shift throughout the yard
- Operate a shunt truck or fifth-wheel hydraulic tractor
- Perform inspections before and after every trip
- Maintain inventory control within terminal operations
- Ensure safe use of assigned equipment
Requirements:
- Minimum one year of verifiable shunting experience
- Clean driving abstract
- Professional and safety-focused attitude
- Excellent customer service skills
- Availability for full-time afternoon shifts
