He/She actively participates in the implementation of the powder coating department. He/She coordinates the activities of production personnel regarding the application of their responsibilities and the execution of their tasks. More specifically, his/herresponsibilities include:Participating in the development and implementation of the operational strategy for operations carried out at Plant 2.Implementing production methods (processes and procedures) in a “lean manufacturing” mode.Starting a powder coating department (fall-winter 2025-2026) and overseeing its expansion.Participating in the hiring of employees for all departments under his/her coordination.Ensuring that team members are adequately trained and qualified to perform the work according to established instructions.Ensuring compliance with quality standards at each stage of production for all departments under his/her responsibility.Adequately managing human resources and keeping them motivated (work schedules, timesheets, support, training, disciplinary actions, etc.).Achieving production objectives in collaboration with the team.Monitoring performance indicators and submitting them within prescribed deadlines.Working closely with other Supervisors and support department personnel.Participating in production meetings and the health and safety committee.Participating in continuous improvement projects.Ensuring preventive management of maintenance, repairs, and equipment installation.Being customer-oriented, both internally and externally, and committed to delivering a quality product.Being able to manage unforeseen events, work under pressure, and demonstrate flexibility.Wanting to actively contribute to the company’s growth and success.Having a good understanding of organizational issues.Possessing strong interpersonal skills (integrity, support, teamwork, and customer focus).Being able to manage priorities, be organized and structured, with minimal supervision.Having an analytical mindset and a solution-oriented approach to ensure commitments are met.Being able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously (multitasking).Demonstrating professionalism and critical thinking.Skills We Are Looking ForCollege education in a technical or management field with technical skills.Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing a manufacturing production team and a powder coating team, or equivalent experience.Knowledge of the Lean approach (e.g., Toyota) and a strong interest in continuous improvement.Basic knowledge of welding and mechanized welding assembly.Basic knowledge of powder coating.Good knowledge of MS-Office software (Excel, Outlook).High learning capacity.Aptitude and taste for teamwork with respect for all.Experience in starting a process/department/plant (Asset).What We OfferThe opportunity to shape this position to your color and abilities; to actively contribute to our market progress; to navigate our solution culture to serve our customers quickly and well.An employer who respects its employees, for whom health and safety at work are priorities.Competitive salary, commensurate with your expertise and professional experience.Vacation: 3 weeks; internal policy recognizing years of experience.Seven (7) paid days off during the holiday season closure.Corporate clothing.Proximity to employees and managers.Type of PositionPermanentStatusFull timeLocationSherbrookeExperienceMore than 5 YearsApply NowNameEmailPhone #J-18808-Ljbffr
