Join to apply for the Bilingual Optical Associate - Casual role at FYidoctors. Our FYidoctors clinics in Ottawa - Orleans and Ottawa - Beechwood are looking for a motivated and bilingual professional to join us as an Optical Associate. This casual position offers 0–19 hours per week, with the clinic open Monday to Saturday. Responsibilities Welcoming patients into the clinic, providing excellent customer service and fostering a positive patient experience. Educating clients about the best eyewear choices for their lifestyle, ensuring they receive the best value and quality. Informing patients about advances in corrective eyewear solutions and assisting with the selection of frames to suit the client’s aesthetic and performance needs. Interpreting optical prescriptions as written by an optometrist. Performing frame and facial measurements to ensure correct fit and positioning of new eyewear, and performing repairs and adjustments for returning patients. Placing contact lens orders and assisting with fittings. Communicating with patients in person, by phone, and by email. Billing the patient, their medical service provider and other third parties. Managing appointment bookings, prescription printouts, billing and payments. Qualifications Bilingualism (English and French). Previous experience in a customer-facing, preferably retail environment. Previous optical experience considered an asset. Passionate about customer service. A high level of comfort using technology and computers.
