Provide objective oversight and effective challenge, enable capital optimisation, ensure ongoing monitoring, and partner with business lines to develop effective strategy. Responsibilities Adjudicate and/or authorize credit requests up to assigned limits; make sound recommendations within the Bank risk appetite and in adherence to policy and standards. Evaluate financial and non‑financial risks for accurate client risk profiling, and challenge banking strategies to ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements. Conduct risk assessment and rating assignment, monitor changes in client creditworthiness and recommend adequate courses of action. Understand economic, political and regulatory frameworks and their impact on the assigned portfolio; recommend potential actions. Act as an advisory partner for Banking. Play an integral role in the client relationship experience by collaborating with Banking, providing feedback to ensure a cohesive and efficient client experience while managing risk effectively. Validate GRM critical data elements in credit systems which feed capital and provisions; support innovation and digitise risk processes to improve accuracy and speed of credit decisions and operational efficiencies. Proactively monitor the portfolio for early warning signs, sectorial and market trends; ensure timely action and adherence to compliance metrics and KPIs. Support effective and efficient operations, ensuring adequate day‑to‑day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk. Promote a culture of risk awareness and accountability, support a client‑centric culture, and provide coaching and an attractive value proposition for talent. Skills & Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis or credit adjudication. Post‑secondary education completed in business or a related area. Extensive experience in complex financial analysis. Good understanding of Bank lending policies and procedures, financial analysis, risk assessment techniques, credit structuring, collateral and security documentation, collection, relevant legislation and accounting practices. Proven credit judgment and administration of a commercial credit portfolio. Strong negotiation, problem‑resolution and communication skills. Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise work effectively and efficiently. Strong coaching and counselling skills. Language: English - advanced (in addition to French).
