Position Overview The David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science, Faculty of Mathematics, University of Waterloo, invites applications for multiple positions at all levels in data management and data systems, focusing on data science and data intelligence. The School also seeks scholars in other areas of computer science such as machine learning, robotics, computer vision, bioinformatics, and systems & architecture. Positions will normally be at the probationary (tenure‑track) assistant professor level; appointments with tenure at the associate and full professor level are possible as circumstances warrant. All successful candidates will be expected to engage actively in graduate student supervision and teaching, contribute to the overall development of the School, and demonstrate leadership potential in their research field. Qualifications A PhD in computer science, or equivalent, is required. Job Details Typical appointment: probationary (tenure‑track) assistant professor; associate or full professor possible. Salary range: $160,000 - $210,000 (negotiations beyond this range may be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates).
