Learn more about why we were selected here.Title: Project and Team CoordinatorSalary: $66,597 - $83,246 - $91,571 per year (pay range explained below)Contract: Term until July 2027Hours: 0.8 FTE at 30 hours (Tuesdays – Fridays at 8.30am – 4.30pm)Location: Northern Region, BC, preferably Terrace, Prince George, Prince Rupert, Hazelton, or Fort St John – Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy – Travel throughout the region may be required.About The RoleAs Project and Team Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Northern Nursing and Nutrition Team, a high‑impact team dedicated to community health and wellness. You will provide administrative support, manage communications, coordinate meetings, track action items, and organize team and community‑based events. You will also support professional development opportunities and contribute to a collaborative, well‑connected team environment that drives meaningful health outcomes.About YouEducationA university degree or an equivalent in training and experience in a relevant field, such as business, science, social services, or healthcare.Experience2-5 years of recent and relevant experience in project coordination and administrative support, preferably within the context of First Nations and/or Indigenous health.Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel.KnowledgeKnowledge of First Nations health issues and the BC First Nations health governance structures.Knowledge of event planning and methodologies and life cycles in project management, quality improvement, and change management.CompetenciesExceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage calendars and shifting priorities in a fast‑paced environment.Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills across virtual and in‑person settings.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, SharePoint, EMRs, and quick to learn new platforms.Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and maintain professionalism and confidentiality.Collaborative, solution‑oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.Working at FNHAAs a member of the team, you will have access to a wide range of employee benefits, including:Municipal Pension plan with an employer contribution of 9.31% (after 6 months)3 weeks’ vacation, which increases with service to 4 weeks, plus 5 personal days, 1 volunteer day, and 14 public holidays including National Indigenous People’s Day, National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, Easter Monday and Boxing DayAccess to group health benefits and a Health Care Spending Account through Canada Life on day 1 of employmentAnd moreThe First Nations Health Authority is committed to respecting diversity within our workforce; preference will be given to individuals who identify as First Nations, Inuit, or Métis.Leading with culture, all FNHA employees complete San’yas Indigenous Cultural Safety Training.
