The position will be working in our application engineering group that develops continuous Battery Electric Vehicles for the mining industry.Primary Responsibilities:Maintain expert level of product and application knowledge with respect to the company’s mining equipmentProvide integration of and contribute to the design and programming of systemsProvide design and specification development support to Production Engineering and SalesAssist in the design and development of new products and tools as requiredManage the technical documentation of the department according to departmental procedures.Manage accurate electrical schematic drawings using Zuken E3 CAD design softwareHarness drawing design and implementationAssist both Electrical and Mechanical Design Engineers in the design of the equipment and in determining methods and actions to remedy malfunctions or manufacturing shortcomingsField Commissioning and troubleshooting of Prairie Machine E&C systemsQualifications:Completion of a BSc. Engineering degreeMinimum 10 years of experienceRelative BEV and Mining experienceAPEGS P.Eng. certification or ability to obtainAdditional qualifications that would be considered an asset:Background or interests in mobile mining BEV machine electrical and PLC control systemsExperience working in an Autodesk environment, (Vault Manufacturing and Zuken E3)Battery module design and protectionPanel Layouts and interconnectionsExperience with ERP systemsEV Drive SystemsPLC systems IFM, Sevcon drivesHMI systems, Grayhill, IFMCanBus communication protocolsProgramming in: Structured text, Ladder logic, Function block #J-18808-Ljbffr
