In Collingwood, you’ll enjoy a balanced lifestyle in one of Ontario’s most desirable regions, all while contributing to vital infrastructure that shapes real communities.Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to:What You’ll DoLeading the design and project management of municipal infrastructure projects (roads, water, wastewater, stormwater) from planning through constructionTake responsibility for design including signing and sealing reports and drawings for municipal infrastructure projects (roads, water, wastewater, stormwater)Working alongside our current management team with an active leadership role within the design teamSupporting proposal development, business development, and client management activities to grow the group’s presence and reputationSupport the growth and development of junior and intermediate team members through coaching, guidance, and day-to-day collaborationCollaborating across disciplines and offices to deliver smart, community-focused solutionsRepresenting Burnside as a senior client contact, especially with municipalities and other public sector clients in the regionYour success in this role will be measured byLead and manage municipal infrastructure projects including roads, water, wastewater, and stormwater systemsProvide hands-on design expertise while overseeing project delivery from proposal through to constructionCoordinate and be responsible for the designs and workload of staff on the Collingwood Municipal Infrastructure team to support the Manager of Municipal InfrastructureSupport and mentor junior and intermediate team members, fostering growth and technical excellenceReview designs/drawings produced by others as part of our Quality Control and Assurance InitiativesReview and support the preparation of tender specificationsBuild and maintain strong client relationships, particularly with municipalities and local government staffDrive project delivery excellence and identify growth opportunities for the Collingwood officeWhat You Bring To The Team7+ years of relevant experience in municipal infrastructure engineering, preferably in OntarioP.Eng. designation (or eligibility) in OntarioStrong project management and client-facing skillsDesire to grow into a team leadership role, with mentorship and succession planning in place; you’re someone who takes initiative, builds trust and inspires collaboration.Salary and BenefitsSalary Range: $135,000 - $165,000The final compensation offered will be based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and market conditions.Position TypePosition Type: New PositionWhy Choose Burnside?Are you interested in working for an employer with a 5-decade track record of building a great reputation both internally with their staff and externally with their clients?
