ITW Global Brands Canada is a regionalbusiness unit of the $16B multi-national company Illinois Tool Works Inc. Weare the leading marketer and distributor of core ITW brands including:PermatexÂ, Rain-XÂ, Spray NineÂ, Black MagicÂ, SlimeÂ, Fast OrangeÂ,Fix-A-FlatÂ, and GumoutÂ.

The Inventory Planner for finished goods isresponsible for managing inventory levels to meet customer demand whileminimizing excess stock and associated costs. The planner analyzes sales data,market demand, and production schedules to determine optimal inventory levels,reorder points, and safety stock. This role coordinates with suppliers,production teams, and freight carriers to ensure timely delivery and efficientuse of resources. Additionally, the Inventory Planner monitors inventorystrategies to help optimize service level and minimize obsolescence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inventory Optimization: Determine optimalinventory levels, reorder points, and safety stock levels to balance customerservice level with inventory requirements.
• Market Rate of Demand (MRD): Schedule andpurchase finished goods inventory based on historical sales data andseasonality trends.
• Production Planning: Work closely withproduction teams to align production schedules with MRD planning and inventorytargets.
• Inventory Monitoring: Continuously monitorinventory levels, stock movements, and aging inventory to identify potentialstockouts or excess inventory situations.
• Supplier Coordination: Collaborate withsuppliers and freight carriers to ensure timely delivery of finished goods andmanage supplier performance.
• Scheduling Shipments: Coordinate withfreight carriers to schedule inbound shipments and ensure cost-effective andreliable transportation services.
• Obsolete Inventory Management: Developstrategies to minimize obsolete inventory through proactive planning andcoordination.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinatewith customer order management, sales, marketing, finance, and logistics teamsto align inventory plans and optimal service level.
• Inventory Reporting: Prepare and presentinventory performance reports, KPIs, and metrics to support decision-making andstrategic planning.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify processimprovements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
• Attention to detail and accuracy as well asorganizational and prioritization skills.
• Strong analytical skills to analyze salesdata, MRD planning, and to optimize inventory strategies.
• Experience with Enterprise ResourcePlanning (ERP) systems; JDE or Oracle is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communicationskills.
• Sound judgment and problem-solving skills.

Requirements:

• Post-secondary diploma or degree preferred,high school diploma mandatory.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of Purchasing andSupply Chain experience.
• English and French language is an asset.

Additional Information

This role will have the opportunity for ahybrid work-from-office and work-from-home schedule. The candidate must residewithin an appropriate travelling distance of the company’s Oakville office.During the probationary and training period, the candidate will be required towork more often in the Oakville office.
