Youth Educator (RECE), After School Program at Jean Steckle, 2:45PM-5:30PM Part Time PermanentPay Rate: $29.42 per hour (based on current funding) + 2% in lieu of benefitsHours/Shift: Monday to Friday afternoons, 2:45pm-5:30pm Overview In this role, you will contribute to the Community by working on a team that supports children with their physical, mental, and social development. You will assist in the creation of learning opportunities that align with children’s interests and foster cooperative social behaviours through games and group projects to support developmentally appropriate relationships with other children and adults. Qualifications Previous experience working with children Knowledge of Early Childhood Education and development, acquired through a Degree/Diploma in ECE (and registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators), OR acquired in conjunction with other related post-secondary degree/diploma as approved by the Ministry of Education. Example: Recreation and Leisure, Child and Youth Worker, Bachelor of Education and registered with the Ontario Teacher's College. Knowledge of and demonstrated experience in the area of Early Childhood Education and development. Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with staff, parents, children, and the public.
