MedStaff is currently seeking a Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) and Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) for our Community Visiting Nursing Program. The Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) will provide safe and holistic nursing care to patients in a variety of service delivery locations primarily in Mississauga.Responsibilities:In collaboration with the patient/family/caregiver and other health care professionals, help formulate a plan of care based on patient assessmentProvide nursing care to patients according to the written plan of careEvaluate effectiveness of treatment plan(s) and adjust accordingly in consultation with the patient/family/caregiver and other health care professionalsAct as a patient advocate by protecting and promoting patient rightsPromote patient safety and assist them in living comfortably in their home environmentShare nursing knowledge and expertise with other health care providersQualifications:Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with College of Nurses of OntarioOne (1) year recent experience in the communityOne (1) year recent wound care experienceExcellent problem solving, time management, and crisis resolution skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and writtenExperience with Information TechnologyValid driver’s license and reliable vehicle is a requirementSecond language is considered an assetExperience as a visiting nurse, visiting registered nurse, visiting registered practical nurse, and/or community nurse considered an assetWe thank you for applying to S.R.T.
