Employers can create an account and post jobs for FREEApplication Deadline Date: December 05, 2025POSITION SUMMARYReporting to the Manager, Facilities Planning and Development, the Construction Project Manager (CPM) provides capital project development and implementation support for all sites at Brightshores Health System. The CPM works closely with Engineering Management and staff, consultants, contractors and hospital managers and staff to develop, coordinate and implement a wide range of capital, capital renewal, infrastructure and space renovation/construction projects to meet corporate building and infrastructure needs within building codes and legislated requirements.QUALIFICATIONSPost‑secondary diploma/degree in architecture, engineering or a related discipline5 years of progressive experience playing a key role in infrastructure, space planning and renovation initiatives in a hospital setting, with demonstrated knowledge of building technical codes and standards applicable to health care environmentsPMP (Project Management Certification) is an asset but not required.Working knowledge of design development/ contract documents, project cost estimation, project schedules, contract structure and other matters pertaining to project planning and implementation is requiredDirect hands‑on project experience during the construction stage is required as is technical architectural, mechanical and electrical knowledge of projects , including drawings, specifications and shop drawingsPrevious experience in contract administration or construction management, particularly as owner’s representative, is preferred.Demonstrated knowledge of complex building systems, codes and standardsExcellent knowledge of roles and relationship between owner, consultants, contractors, governing bodies and construction contract lawKnowledge of AODA; IPAC; Asbestos Safety & Awareness and Occupational Health & Safety specific for constructionExcellent knowledge of Broader Public Sector Procurement Directives and Supply Chain Guidelines including tendering practices and performance to specificationsDemonstrated ability to administer CCDC and OAA contracts and supplementary contract documentsProficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel & PowerPointAbility to use AutoCAD and MS Project applicationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detailAbility and willingness to continually upgrade technical skillsFlexibility in hours of work as required providing project supervisionValid Driver’s License and use of vehicle to travel to siteRecent satisfactory performance and attendance recordAdherence to Brightshores ‘CARE’ Behaviours (Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Excellence) and ‘LEAD’ Competencies (Lead by example, Empower, Achieve results, Develop others) and a commitment to a safe workplace free of violence and harassmentAdvocates and supports a culture of patient safety and demonstrates an understanding of how the department service and assigned responsibilities contribute to overall patient safety at Brightshores through patient safety knowledge, skills and attitudesWelcome to Brightshores Health System.
