With Golder now part of our WSP team, we have over 14,000 multidisciplinary professionals worldwide collaborating daily to protect and conserve natural landscapes, create firm foundations for communities to stand on, and champion sustainable development to combat climate change.What you will be doing:Participation in a team environment, working closely with Project coordinators, other Project Managers, Senior Project Directors/Technical Leads and Field Technicians/Scientists/EngineersPreparing Health and Safety plans and Emergency response planPreparation of proposals and cost estimatesScheduling of field staff and subcontractorsCompile data for reportsReport writing including preparing conclusions and recommendationsProject accounting, tracking and reporting requirementsTraining junior staff in environmental practices including Phase I and II ESAs, drilling, surveying, groundwater sampling, oversight of remediationTraining staff on site specific health and safetyInterface with clients to ensure needs are met and projects/proposals are moving forward – work with other members of the team to provide necessary support for project completionWork with and support other members of the Contaminated Sites Management Groups in Atlantic Canada in sharing health and safety, project management, project completion and client service responsibilitiesWhat you will bring:University degree in engineering or natural/earth sciences6 to 10 years of experience in contaminated site assessments and conceptual site modelsSound understanding of the need for health and safety procedures in the workplace and a safety‑conscious attitudeAn analytical mind able to make recommendations on next steps for client sitesStrong field experienceAbility to work patiently with and help train less experienced team membersStrong interpersonal, communication and judgment skillsUnderstanding of Atlantic RBCA guidelines, provincial and federal contaminated site regulationsP.Eng. or P.Geo. designation or potential to obtain is preferredAbout UsWSP is one of the world's leading professional services firms.
